Sacred Shree Chakra Puja Performed by Nathaji
The Shree Chakra represents the process by which the originally unified Absolute takes on the dual nature of Shiva (consciousness) and Shakti (energy), thus creating the manifest world. Representing the structure of manifestation of the entire universe, the Shree Chakra is composed of circles and lotus petals with nine triangles drawn within each other. The four traingles that point upward represent Shiva and the five pointing downwards represent Shakti.

These intersecting triangles represent the play of creation, maintenance, and absorbtion of the whole universe by the pure divine forces. The central point, or Bindu, represents the union of Shiva and Shakti, or the union between consciousness and energy. Just as it represents the manisfestation of the entire universe, the Shree Chakra structure also represents the successive steps on the journey of the individual on the inward spiritual path. Each successive aspect of the diagram represents the increasing identification or merging of the individual consciousness with the Absolute Consciousness (the center stillpoint or Bindu).

The Shree Chakra functions on three levels. 1) a visual map of the divine essence of creation. 2) the access to divine power for those who are initiated into the esoteric knowledge regarding its use, and 3) the actual experience of the Presence of the Divine. The experience that is sought during the Shree Chakra Puja is for a person to realize that all powers, energies and manifestation are at the same time consciousness/pure awareness.
